FRS Co-Op is a national, farmer-owned cooperative specialising in People & Technology solutions to support the productivity, sustainability and resilience of Irish agriculture. Established in 1980 and headquartered in Roscrea, Co. Tipperary, they have their roots in providing farm relief services but now do much more with over 60 locations nationwide offering recruitment, fencing, employment, training and delivering large-scale contract services.
Through its unique combination of farming relationships and operational capability, FRS plays a key role in turning innovation into practical solutions on farms. The organisation brings together workforce expertise, training capability and digital infrastructure to support farmers, industry and government in delivering practical and innovative solutions at scale.
FRS has led major national initiatives including Ireland’s largest Soil Sampling and Analysis Programme, managing the collection and processing of over 145,000 samples from more than 10,500 farms, and continues to support environmental and sustainability programmes such as the national Deer Management Programme.
Working at the intersection of people, technology and agriculture, FRS collaborates with partners across the agri-food ecosystem to help translate innovation into practical outcomes and supporting farmers to grow more efficiently, sustainably and successfully.
