AgTech Ireland will lead an official delegation to Brussels from 13–15 January 2026 for a focused series of engagements on the future of European agricultural policy and on-farm innovation.
The programme on 14 January features a high-level set of meetings designed to deepen understanding of forthcoming changes to the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and their implications for Irish agriculture and agtech. The delegation will meet Irish MEPs in the European Parliament to discuss funding priorities, investment supports and environmental obligations under the next CAP. This will be followed by a joint session with COPA/Cogeca, ICOS and the IFA exploring political dynamics shaping CAP negotiations. Further discussions with officials from DG Agriculture and DG Environment will focus on sustainability requirements, environmental compliance and the role of technology in supporting greener, more productive farming. A networking dinner in the centre of the old city of Brussels will conclude the day.
On 15 January, the group will visit a white veal farm for an in-depth discussion on practical innovation at farm level, before returning to Brussels Airport for the evening flights home.
