The Targeted Agriculture Modernisation Scheme (TAMS) plays a very important role in driving adoption of technology on farm to help meet a range of objectives including climate obligations, health & safety, labour efficiency and animal welfare.
It is an important element of funding when farmers decide to make an investment. For agtech companies it has the potential to accelerate growth or slow sales down depending on the timing of the Department of Agriculture’s decisions, reference values and inclusion on the TAMS eligibility list.
Our information session on 6th June created the opportunity for the key officers from DAFM, including Dr Robert Leonard, John Muldowney, Siobhan Mulcahy and Jack Nolan, as well as many of their colleagues, to meet to inform, engage and network with industry, and gain insight into industry’s experience of the scheme.
